Today students worked on Dreambox and were encouraged to complete their 4 lessons with proficiency for the week (they also worked on Dreambox on Monday).

STAR Math Testing will take place on Monday and Tuesday of next week.

​WEDNESDAY 9/11/19 - MULTIPLYING DECIMALS WORD PROBLEMS

Today students were given a Multiplying Decimals Word Problem worksheet with SIX problems on it.  We did two of the problems together as a class.  Students were asked to complete the remaining four problems in their small groups.

​TUESDAY 9/10/19 - MULTIPLYING DECIMALS

Today students were given a worksheet with 18 problems of multiplying decimals.

We did two example on the board together.

Students had 40 minutes of class time to work in their small groups and complete the expected problems.  The worksheet was due by the end of the period.  ​

​MONDAY 9/09/19 -DREAMBOX AND WEEKLY AGENDA CHECK

Today students worked in Dreambox.  I also checked the student agendas for 9/03/19-9/06/19.  Students are expected to write the Learning Target (LT) and Homework (HW) for each class in the Agenda (not PE), every day.

​FRIDAY 9/06/19 - OBPP PRESENTATION (CONT...) AND NORMS OF COLLABORATION

Today I tried to continue our OBPP Presentation but due to several students' behavior I was unsuccessful.

I had to make it a silent period for the last (approx) 25 minutes of class.  Students were then directed to write down the Seven Norms of Collaboration on a separate sheet of paper and provide two examples.  This assignment was due at the end of the period.

*****Parents/Guardians***** Please ask your student if they were part of the problem or part of the solution in our class today.  Today was an unhealthy environment for learning and several students were assigned detention after school to write reflections on their behavior choices.  For those students that were part of the solution, they have an S or an O marked in PowerSchool for their Citizenship grade.  For those that were part of the problem, they have an N or a U for their citizenship grade.
