Today students took guided notes on the Marine Biomes of the world. Students also modeled the biomes by drawing and coloring at least three organisms for each of the biomes on their biome worksheets.
Students were then asked to answer reflection questions based on a video short about the Lion Fish invading the Florida Keys Ecosystem..

Today students were introduced to the Biome Diorama Project that will be officially assigned next week before break.
They also put together their Biome Packets which we will be using everyday until break.
We then took very short notes on the Dry Climate Biomes of the world. Students completed their mini-models of these Biomes by drawing/coloring plants and animals that inhabit the Biomes.
Students were informed that Progress Reports go home on 1/25/18 and that late work for the first half of Trimester II will have the cut-off date of 1/19/18.
Today I projected the completed graph for LAB #8 so that we could answer the lab analysis together in class. We had a whole group discussion and answered the lab questions together as students recorded their answers.
Students will need to turn-in this lab tomorrow, 12/07/17.
Hello and I am very sorry this is so late. As many of my students know, I got very sick during 6th period on Tuesday 12/05/17 and had to leave immediately after school. I also had to attend a scheduled doctor's appointment later that afternoon to get my arm x-rayed and cast for a double distal radius fracture. Needless to say, I have not been well.
Today students were asked to calculate the data for one column of the data table on LAB #8 (the change in elk population). They were also asked to graph the elk and wolf populations in a double line graph so that we could answer the analysis questions together in class on 12/06/17.
