Today students were given their Individual Student Report which lists their grade for each assignment for Trimester 2 so far. Students copied down instructions into their ISN on how to submit any remaining latework. We discussed every assignment and how to submit late assignments for grading consideration.
Students were told today that I WILL NOT take latework at this point if they do not get their ISR signed by their grown-up. This is imperative because parents/guardians need to be aware to what extent their student is not doing the work required.
As discussed in my Classroom Policies, I take latework at full credit as a courtesy to my students and their families which I provide to them out of respect for the sometimes chaotic modern lives we lead. This privilege should not be abused. Latework should be the exception for your student, not the rule.
After this, students had 15 minutes of class time to either continue working on their latework or completing the Pre-Lab #9 (which should have been completed yesterday in class). There will be a QUIZ tomorrow on the articles for Pre-Lab #9.
