Today we had a lot to cover!
First, we went over ISN Check 04. I asked students to hi-lite the due date on ISN Check 04 (due 11/29/17). Yesterday in class we went over ISN Check 04 line by line and students had the entire period to work toward completing and organizing all of the assignments for this ISN Check. Today I went over the new items that were not included on the board yesterday (items 6, 14, 15, and extra credit 1 and 2).
After this, we participated in whole group discussion as we took guided notes from a short PowerPoint presentation on Symbiotic Relationships.
We then participated in a PopCorn Read Aloud of the description of the expectations for Project #1: Symbiosis Want Ad which is due 12/01/17 (these projects will not be considered for late work).
Students were then asked to choose which relationship they would like to do for their project and write it on their project assignment worksheet.
After this, we discussed all of the sections and expectations for the Trimester I Reflection which will be due at the end of the period tomorrow, 11/17/17. I have told students that this reflection will not be accepted for late work because it is time sensitive (it does a student no good to set goals for Trimester II at the end of Trimester II!).
Students have been told that they should do at least half of this Trimester I Reflection so that it can be turned-in on time tomorrow. Students will be given the choice to either work on their Want Ad, ISN Clean-Up, or the Trimester I Reflection during the entire period tomorrow, 11/17/17. Everything that is not completed during class will become homework (save for the Tri I Reflection) to be completed over the break and submitted by the indicated deadlines.
