Today students engaged in a hands-on activity (Investigation #10: Analyzing Maps). They worked in their partner groups to collect data that allowed them to draw conclusions about the relationship between PLATE BOUNDARIES and EARTHQUAKES based on the patterns in the data results.
They were then asked to complete the ASPM 1.3.4 "Homework: Modeling Earth's Outler Layer" as their documentation of their understanding garnered in the hands-on activity. This assignment was due by the end of the period.
I also asked students to create a Creative Output (Triple Six Word Memoir) on p. 72 of the ISN for today's three key terms: PATTERNS, PLATE BOUNDARY, and EARTHQUAKE.
Examples will be posted before the ISN Check is due (hopefully be tomorrow) as we will be completing all of the Creative Outputs assigned this week in tutoring tomorrow (Friday, 1/11/20).
