Today students were given 25-30 minutes to finish their post-lab write-ups on pages XIV and 1 (assigned yesterday in class). We discussed how to write the procedures for the tool building process as well as how to begin writing the procedures for the pyramid building. If students were unable to complete the work on these pages, then they must be completed for homework.
We then participated in a whole group discussion about how to approach using the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) Science and Engineering Practices (SEPs) and Crosscutting Concepts (CCCs) as a basis for Lab Reflection. We discussed and completed two SEPs today. We will complete our reflection on Monday and Tuesday of next week.
Students were asked to review the remaining SEPs and CCCs, as well as the seven reflection questions, over the weekend to prepare them for a productive whole group discussion on Monday.
