Today was a continuation from Friday. We started our day with a 20 minute discussion about the Logical Order of the Cup Pyramid Build. I created a Google Slides presentation with pictures of the Cup Pyramid Build as I designed the intended order (but was sure to tell them that there was no CORRECT ORDER - this activity is about making sense of the world around us). As a Whole Group, we discussed the patterns and relationships we could see in MY version of the logical order as well as possibilities of other patterns and relationships. Students offered examples of the patterns they used in their builds to create a logical order. I used this activity to show the students that scientific collaboration is successful and necessary because different brains see different things (like different relationships and patterns).
We then completed our SEP reflection in class together. Most classes also completed their CCC reflection but since a couple periods did not, I am not posting the answers we discussed until tomorrow. Tomorrow we will complete the CCC reflection and answer the Lab Reflection Questions together in class.
