Today students created a concept map for the reading "Qualities of a Good Scientist." I project the concept map and helped students complete the majority so that they could have a good example in their ISN. Students were then asked to complete the top of the concept map with three qualities that they would like to work on this year. One quality that they feel they are good at, one that they would like to work on, and would that they would like me to help them with this year. We will be practicing our GROWTH MINDSET this year in science by tracking our progress on these three qualities as we explore content and become masters of lab work!
In addition to this, students were asked to practice their AVID Awesome Left Side Creative Output (CO) skills by creating an Acrostic Poem for the term MODELS. This time they have some hep since their is already an acrostic poem for MODELS in their SEP #2 Packet.
