Today students were given the entire period to ensure that their I #16 was complete and turned-in.
We discussed the FINAL MODEL and what the model should include.
We did the CER together in class.
Today students gathered data for the final "station" of this investigation. Students were to collect mass, volume, and other data. They were then expected to calculate the density of the coke cans. Using what they have discovered, students were then asked to create a detailed FINAL MODEL of their understanding of the Sinking and Floating Soda Can Phenomenon. This final model will inform the writing of their CER.
Today students were expected to review their modeling from Investigation #16 Sinking and Floating Soda Pop Can Phenomenon stations. They were asked to organize their learning into a data table (what they did, and what they learned).
Organizing this data and learning will help students solve the mystery of the investigation.
