Today students reviewed for their final exam by engaging in a Jeopardy Game.
Today students were given the entire period to work on either latework (and submit it for immediate grading) and/or their study guide.
While students worked, I called students to my desk to discuss missing/incomplete assignments and to grade their late work immediately with them.
My Pre-Lab for I #21 is with a student and not glued-in. Yours should be glued in.
The only work I currently have being graded is I #21 and the I #21 Final Model which was completed and turned-in on Friday, 5/31/19.
Everything else has been passed back (unless you turned-in late work).
Today we answered the post-lab questions for I #21 Properties of Water together as a whole group. Students were given time to write down their answers after we discussed each questions. Students then had approximately 15+ minutes to complete their FINAL MODEL explaining why water striders are avle to walk on water and what was happening that cused the water striders to fall into the river. I provided the students with the MACRO scale portion of the entire model and I discussed with them what their MOLECULAR scale zoom-outs on their model should include.
This lab and final model were to be turned-in at the end of the period.
Today students were given ChromeBooks and Short Readings to help them make sense of each of the Properties of Water Experiments. This sense-making (evidence gathering) should lead them to the conclusion of our investigation and guide their answers to the Post-Lab Questions.
We will answer the post-lab questions together as a whole group tomorrow.
This lab will be due by the end of the period tomorrow.
Watch ALL of the research videos provided here (class time given today to watch all videos).
Today students were asked to complete a reading abiut Earth's Undergound Fresh Water Resource. They were asked to Mark the Text, Write in the Margins, answer the questions, and create a Creative Output for this short reading assignment.
This assignment was assigned as Pass/Fail and was due at the end of the period.
Today students were given Doodle Notes for Chemical and Physical Changes. These notes were 80% complete and just had to be filled out, colored and turned-in by the end of the period. Most students finished this assignment within 20 minutes and had the remainder of the period to work on completing ISN Check 12 which is due 6/03/19.
While students worked on these assignments, I conferenced with students privately at my desk to remind them of missing and incomplete work.
